As India enters day 4 of the nationwide lockdown, Police officials across the nation are finding unique ways to punish the people who unnecessarily step out of the house. As many as100 people who violated the lockdown norms in Kerala had to write imposition.
The incident happened on Friday in a rural area in Calicut, Kerala, where the violators were taken to the police station and made to write the imposition. They were told to write 21 times the sentence - 'I will not step out of the house for 21 days'.
It was rural SP M Sreenivas who suggested the imposition as an alternative for the normal punishments, as there were already complaints that Police are engaged in using brutal ways to punish.
