With people continuing to step out for ‘non-essential’ activities amidst the COVID-19 lockdown, Kerala Police have become fed up with the 'lies' people come up with to wander around.
With a total of 1381 people booked across the state of Kerala for violating the lockdown norms, a two-wheeler passenger left the Police amused in Pathanamthitta. The police stopped the passenger in a two-wheeler from the Parakkodu area, where there has been a strong inspection by the officials. When the police asked him where he was going, his reply surprised everyone!
The passenger said that he was going to the shop to buy a 'ball pin' (mottu sooji). Apparently, he drove nearly 5 kilometers just to buy 'ball pin'. Police immediately seized his vehicle and made him walk back home which is located 5 kilometres away!
The central government had last week announced a lockdown till March 31 across India to contain the spread of the deadly coronavirus. The restrictions were extended after Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday night declared a 21-day nationwide lockdown.
