Earlier during the initial phase of the Coronavirus pandemic, few directors turned to selling vegetables due to lack of work, and now Ram Vriksha Gaur, who had directed the iconic Hindi TV show, Balika Vadhu selling vegetables due to lack of work due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Currently living in his hometown Azamgarh, the director had recently visited his hometown to explore sites for a film. As lockdown was announced nationwide he could not go back to work and was informed by the producers of the film that the shooting had been delayed for at least an year due to the pandemic.

Due to lack of work and financial support, the director decided to sell vegetables along with his son. Ram Vriksha gaur's father was also a vegetable vendor and the director has said that he has no regrets. Ram had worked on few other shows like Kuch Toh Log Kahenge and few movies as well.
