Vijay Deverakonda's massive initiative helps 17000 families in lockdown!

While the whole world is affected by the deadly coronavirus pandemic which has affected economy leading to unemployment and lack of access to money, actor Vijay Deverakonda had announced a massive campaign with his non profit organization The Deverakonda Foundation, and launched Middle Class Fund.
Deverakonda foundation with Middle class fund has so far helped 17,723 middle-class families by providing groceries and essentials and have spent around ₹1.7+ cr. This huge initiative of Vijay Deverakonda has helped 58,808 families and this was executed with the help of 8,505 volunteers who offered ₹1.5+ crores.
While the fund was launched to help in Corona crisis, now with the relaxations to resume businesses in lockdown 5.0 announced, Middle class fund closed operations from 2nd June 2020. The management of funds were transparent, and all activities were released to the media every day.
Deverakonda foundation also helped many youngsters in setting their career through the 'First Job Program' initiative. As Vijay himself is from a middle-class family he could understand and relate with the struggles and made use of the funds and donations without wastage. The organization had requested corporates to help with volunteering and 535 people supported the noble cause. Though the operations of Middle class fund have been stopped now, Vijay Deverakonda is expected to announce more welfare plans in the coming days.
