Tamil Nadu govt announces lockdown extension till December!

The Tamil Nadu Government has announced that the ongoing lockdown due to the Coronavirus pandemic will be extended till December 31. The announcement was made by CM Edappadi Palanisamy who said that it has been done to avoid virus spread.

Further, several relaxations have also been announced. Beaches like Marina beach will be open for public from December 14, and final year classes for UG will begin from December 7.

Social, political and religious meetings will be permitted with a 50% capacity and a maximum of 200 people present in the venues of these gatherings with the permission from district or village administration. Besides, epass for people coming from other states will still be mandatory.
