After playing fun filled roles in movies like Naanum Rowdythaan and Thaanaa Serndha Koottam, Radio Jockey turned comedian RJ Balaji turns a full fledged hero with LKG, directed by debutant Prabu. Produced by Isari Ganesh in his Vels Films International, the movie is set to hit screens on February 22.
LKG stars RJ Balaji as Lalgudi Karuppiah Gandhi who ventures into politics and gets to encounter a variety of characters including Ramkumar who heads a prominent political party, JK Riteesh who is another important upcoming politician and Priya Anand who is a part of an image boosting campaign for LKG. Was LKG able defy odds and succeed in political game is what the movie is all about.
LKG also stars politician Nanjil Sampath as RJ Balaji's father, Super Singer voice trainer Anand Vaidyanathan, Mayilsamy and many others. Leon James has composed music for the movie, and the Ethanai Kaalam thana reprise has turned a chartbuster. Vidhu Ayyana has handled cinematography, while Anthony is the editor of LKG. With references to lot of real political scenarios and interesting memorable moments in Indian politics over the past few years, let's see if LKG can be a neat political satire that appeals to our audience.
