Lizzo is facing additional allegations from multiple accusers after a recent lawsuit claimed sexual harassment and a hostile work environment. Noelle Rodriguez, Crystal Williams, and Arianna Davis, former backup dancers for the singer, initially filed the lawsuit, prompting other individuals to come forward with similar stories, according to their lawyer Ron Zambrano.
Zambrano, of West Coast Employment Lawyers, stated that the courage of the original plaintiffs in speaking out has encouraged others to share their experiences. Although the claims are being reviewed, specific instances involve allegations of a sexually charged atmosphere and non-payment of employees.
Lizzo's representatives have not responded to requests for comment from Fox News Digital.
The lawsuit accuses Lizzo, her production company BGBT, and dance team captain Shirlene Quigley of various offenses, including sexual, religious, and racial harassment. The suit detailed incidents such as a distressing audition, pressure to touch a nude performer, and discouragement from seeking outside work.
The dancers, Davis and Williams, were part of Lizzo's Amazon reality show, while Rodriguez appeared in a music video. They seek damages for emotional distress, unpaid wages, loss of earnings, and legal fees.
Lizzo denied the allegations in a statement, expressing disappointment and defending her character. She emphasized her commitment to professionalism and respect, rejecting portrayals that contradict her values and intentions. Despite the challenges, Lizzo is determined to continue her positive impact and thanked supporters for their encouragement during this difficult period.
