The Tamil film industry is buzzing with excitement following rumours that Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa 2' might be postponed. In light of this, reports suggest that Chiyaan Vikram's 'Thangalaan' and Sivakarthikeyan's 'Amaran' are gearing up to take over the coveted August 15th release date.

Thangalaan - Chiyaan Vikram starrer historical action drama directed by Pa Ranjith. The story revolves around the native people of the Kolar Gold Fields. It is expected to release on August 15.

Amaran - Sivakarthikeyan plays Major Mukund Varadarajan in this patriotic biopic drama directed by Rajkumar Periasamy. If the film's final output is ready, this movie might release on August 15.

Meiyazhgan - Karthi and Arvind Swamy starrer rural drama based on friendship. Directed by Premkumar of '96' fame, the film is planning an August release.

Kadhalikka Neramillai - A romantic drama directed by Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi featuring Jayam Ravi and Nithya Menen in the lead roles. An August release is anticipated.
