Messi meets rival Sergio Ramos for the first time as PSG teammate; Video goes viral

After years of rivalry at El Clasico games, Lionel Messi met PSG teammate Sergio Ramos, who was previously part of Real Madrid for 16 years. Needless to say, a video of the former adversaries hugging each other has gone viral on social media.

Soon after Messi joined French Club Paris Saint Germain (PSG) after leaving Barcelona a couple of days ago, Ramos had informed a news agency that he was looking forward to playing with Messi. The Argentine striker also followed Ramos on Instagram not long after. Expressing his excitement to be starting a new chapter of his life, Messi recently said, I am excited to begin a new chapter of my career at Paris Saint-Germain. Everything about the club matches my football ambitions. I know how talented the squad and the coaching staff are here. I am determined to help build something special for the club and the fans, and I am looking forward to stepping out onto the pitch at the Parc des Princes.

The six-time Ballon d'Or winner, who has been a free agent ever since his contract expiry with Barcelona at the end of June, left the Spanish club due to their economic and structural obstacles. Messi was Barcelona's all-time top scorer with 672 goals in 778 games in all competitions.
