After the success of his production venture 'Rajini Murugan' which released after a lot of struggles. it was expected that director N. Lingusamy will be directing Vishal in 'Sandakozhi 2' the sequel to his 2005 blockbuster.

Vishal is presently busy shooting for 'Marudhu' directed by Muthiah of 'Komban' fame and it was expected that he will report to Lingusamy's camp after finishing 'Marudhu'.

But now there seems to be a change of schedule as Lingusamy will be directing his first direct Telugu film with Tollywood star Allu Arjun before 'Sandakozhi 2'. This will be the director's first direct Telugu film while many of his previous films have been either dubbed or remade in Telugu and have registered success at the box office.

Sources reveal that the Telugu film will be the next directorial of Lingusamy after 'Anjaan' that released in 2014.

The official confirmation on Lingusamy-Allu Arjun project, cast and crew details and the details as to when the film will go on floors etc are awaited soon.
