'Lingaa' borrows a strategy from 'Kaththi'

For the first time ever, Rajinikanth's intro song will feature a rap portion; Aaryan Dinesh Kanagaratnam, a Sri Lankan rapper has lent his voice along with the ace singer, S.P.B for 'Lingaa'. The audio launch is scheduled to take place on 16th of this month and the movie rights along with the audio has been purchased by EROS for a record sum. One could remember that even Vijay`s 'Kaththi' had a 'T (rap)' portion in 'Pakkam Vanthu', which composed for 'Kathiresan' intro. Hiphop Tamizha Aadhi clarified that it is not rap`, a new genre called trap` which is quietly making its wave in western countries.

The title track is said to be 'Oh Nanba' and the album to carry 6 songs which include a couple of duets. The OST is expected to carry a typical Rajini'ish inspirational number and the composer, A.R. Rahman has himself sung, 'Indiane Vaa'. Kaviperarasu Vairamuthu has penned 5 songs while his son, Madhan Karky, the lyric engineer wrote Mona Gasolina`.
