The first look poster of 'Liger', released on Monday, has been getting a mixed response. We have seen visuals and images of Vijay Deverakonda's fanboys welcoming it by pouring bottles of beer on flexes and larger posters. Social media trends, too, have played out.

However, sections of Netizens are laughing at the first look. A common theme of the various troll posts is that the poster comes across as a fan-made, amateurish one. "Does this not look like one of those fan-made posters? I mean, you are making a fucking expensive film. Did you run out of money to pay a graphic designer?" a Twitter user asked.

Director Puri Jagannadh has been questioned over the creative quotient. In a way, the poster is just a literal-visual depiction of the film's power-packed title. The image of a tiger in the background is old-fashioned, a throwback to the old-school posters of action movies made in the 1990s.

'Liger', starring Ananya Pandey and Ramya Krishna in key roles, is produced by Karan Johar, among others. Dharma Productions, being a Bollywood house, should have ensured that the poster is subtle and not gaudy.
