Last year around the same time, Ranveer Singh was being hailed as the next big thing. His 'Band Baaja Baaraat' had done quite well on the basis of good word of mouth and despite unconventional looks of a quintessential Hindi film hero, he had announced his arrival. 'Ladies v/s Ricky Behl' that released exactly a year later did even better commercially but couldn't score brownie points critically. Initial excitement of seeing Ranveer and Anushka Sharma again on screen did get some crowds but word of mouth was largely average. Still, Ranveer was appreciated all over again which has kept the youngster happy.

"Yes, I am happy but then I don't want complacency to set in," says Ranveer who is now currently working only on one film - 'Lootera', "People started calling me the next big thing after 'Band Baaja Baaraat' itself but I don't take such things seriously. By no means am I the next big thing and moreover I don't even allow such notions to get on my head. It is the end of an actor if he starts believing himself to be big. Abhi toh sirf do movies kari hain, bahaut kaam karna hai. Sky is the limit."
