As Malayalam films are all set to release from tomorrow, after the month long theatre strike that ended recently, the Exhibitors' Federation president Liberty Basheer have now come out with new accusations. Liberty Basheer has accused actor Dileep and his new association of not giving them new releases.

Basheer has also sent a complaint letter to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan pointing out this unannounced ban on the theaters under the federation. As per Basheer's statement in the complaint, 25 theaters under the federation are not getting new movies to screen. Liberty Basheer also pointed that Dileep gained the support of most of the Exhibitors Federation Members, by threatening them. Meanwhile, the new theatre owners' association and producers' association have slammed Liberty Basheer's allegations.

It is to be noted that Dileep, has played a great role in solving the cinema strike and a large number of members had quit the Exhibitors Federation, to join the new Theatre Owners Association. Government intervention on Liberty Basheer's complaint is awaited!
