LHB unit at Yadagiri, inauguration on 18

At the Yadagiri district Kadechooru-Baadiyala industrial town the railway unit that manufactures Fiat rail Coaches frames will be inaugurated on Friday – August 18 by Union Railway minister Suresh Prabhu.

This is the first of its kind in South Central Railway limits. At Kapurthala in Punjab, Perambur in Tamil Nadu, Rai Bareili in Uttar Pradesh – 2800 Linke Hofmann Busch (LHB) frames are produced.

The similar unit is also evolving at West Bengal. The Railway department is slowly removing the traditional frames to LHB.

The LHB frames with German Technology at Yadagiri produces 600 coaches at a cost of Rs.80 crores – every month 50 coaches with 470 workers. Security, speed and quality are kept in mind. These coaches picks up 160 kilometers per hour speed.
