It has been confirmed that Renji Panicker is joining hands with son Nithin Renjith Panicker for 'Lelam 2', the sequel to the 1997 released blockbuster 'Lelam', the movie which rose Suresh Gopi to stardom. Renji Panicker is currently finishing the script works for this much-anticipated sequel which will be the first movie outing of Suresh Gopi after he became the Member of Parliament.

While 'Lelam' was directed by Joshiy, the sequel is likely to be directed by According to reports, Renji Panicker`s son Nithin Renji Panicker, who made his directorial debut with the Mammootty starrer 'Kasaba'.

Apart from Suresh Gopi, 'Lelam 2' is expected to have Nandini and Siddique reprising their roles from the prequel. Reportedly, a popular young actor is also appearing in a pivotal role in the film, which will be produced by Renji Panicker and Josemon Simon.
