Ever since the MeToo campaign was started in Kollywood by singer and voice-artist Chinmayi, quite a few women celebrities from the South Indian film industry have opened up about the incidents of alleged sexual harassment they faced in the hands of male celebrities. Yesterday actress Sruthi Hariharan made a similar allegation on veteran actor Arjun Sarja who in return has denied the charge and threatened to file a defamation suit against his 'Nibunan' co-star.
Now VJ and actress Lekha Washington joins the list of another woman from the South film industry who has opened up her 'MeToo' experience. Lekha has just tweeted "One word: Kettavan" with the #metoo.
It must be noted that Lekha was supposed to act with actor Silambarasan in a film which was titled as 'Kettavan'. The project was eventually dropped after some initial pre-production work. So Lekha's tweet understandably raises doubt that she is hinting that Simbu misbehaved with her. While the 'Jeyamkondan' and 'Va Quarter Cutting' actress is yet to clarify anything, fans of STR are have started blasting her for making such an allegation against their star.
A reaction from STR's side is still awaited. We will update you as an when we hear it from his stable.
