Born on the 29th of July, 1931, the 85 year old writer took his last breath on 12th of July, 2017.
The winner of Jnanapith Award , 1988 was a legendary poet, lyricist and a writer. He won prestigious awards like Padma Bhushan in 1992, Nandi Award for best lyricts in 2003 and 2004.
The Karimnagar born writer rose to fame with his book 'Viswambhara', followed by 'Man Beyond Earth and Sky: A Modern Epic' and more.
He wrote many novels in many languages, including Telugu and English. His works made him famous in the U.K, U.S.A, France, Italy, India and more.
As the news was brought to the attention of the Chief Minister of Telangana State, Dr. K. Chandrasekhar Rao said 'I am deeply saddened and at a loss of words to know about the demise of Dr. C. Narayana Reddy, professor, poet, writer, Jnanapith awardee and former member of Rajya Sabha' about the writer as reported by the Press Trust of India.
He continues 'Dr Reddy was a versatile genius, - one of the finest poets and lyricists produced by Telangana. He was a wordsmith having mastery over Telugu language and literature' to say about the Telugu writer.
The news comes as a shock to many. Soon fans of the writer tweeted 'Rest In Peace' as they were saddened by the news.
'After Dasari, Another Legend has left us' tweeted one fan in particular.
The hashtag #NarayanaReddy was trending on twitter as the news hits the web.
Various news channels and news sites are reporting the loss of late Narayana Reddy by taking the audiemce on the memory lane and works of the writer.
