BA Raju, the celebrated PRO and publisher, is no more. His demise was last midnight announced by his son Shiva Kumar B, who wrote, "With extreme sorrow & grief we would like to announce the untimely demise of our beloved father Shri B.A.Raju. He passed away due to sudden fluctuations of diabetes & cardiac arrest. May his Soul Rest In Peace." Survived by two sons, Raju was a film producer as well.

Ever since he started out as a journalist and then editor of a film magazine, Raju showed signs of being a reliable resource for film producers. Superstar Krishna was among his first clients. From Mahesh Babu to Akkineni Nagarjuna, from Prabhas to Jr NTR, several well-known actors had close relations with him at different phases in their respective careers.

Every film journalist respected Raju the most. Several production houses and their noted films year after year were publicized by him with aplomb.

If you are a stickler for title cards, it's most possible that his name under the head 'PRO' has caught your attention 100s of times.

His wife B Jaya, a writer-director, breathed her last in 2018. The duo made meaningful films in collaboration and secured BO hits.
