It is already known that Aishwarya Rajinikanth donned the director hat again after a while for the project, 'Lal Salaam'. Touted to be a cricket-based sports drama, it stars Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth in lead roles while Superstar Rajinikanth will make a special cameo appearance.

The shooting of Lal Salaam commenced on March 7 in Chennai. Earlier, veteran actress Jeevitha Rajasekhar was announced to be a part of the cast. She will be making her Tamil cinema comeback in this movie after 25 years. Now, the latest reports suggest that legendary comedian Senthil is the latest addition to the star cast of Lal Salaam.

According to sources, Senthil joined the sets recently and is shooting along with Vishnu Vishal. The ongoing schedule is progressing at a brisk phase in Senji and the filming will go on for around 35 days. Superstar Rajinikanth will play a Muslim character in this film. He will join Lal Salaam after he wraps up the entire shooting of director Nelson's 'Jailer'.
