Director JD-Jerry of Ullasam (1997), and Whistle (2003) fame are making a comeback with a Tamil film titled The Legend and the movie starring famed businessman Saravanan in the lead has generated quite the anticipation for multiple reasons. 'The Legend' has finally locked its release date.

According to theatre sources, 'The Legend' movie will release on July 28th - in Tamil Telugu Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi. The movie will be released in Tamil Nadu by Madurai GN Anbuchezhian's Gopuram Films.

Saravanan plays the role of a great scientist who comes to his native to help the poor and needy but is uninterrupted by some evil forces. Saravanan then takes a new powerful avatar to stop the evil forces from invading. What happens next is expected to be the storyline of "The Legend". Billed to be a sci-fi Urvashi will reportedly essay the role of a microbiologist from the Indian Institute of Technology.

Velraj is cranking the camera for this big-budget action film while Harris Jayaraj is composing the music. The film also has an ensemble of actors including Geethika Tiwary plays, Robo Shankar, Prabhu, Vijayakumar, Nassar, Mayilsamy, and Kovai Sarala. Yosi babu was roped in to play an important role after the sudden demise of actor Vivek.
