As he awaits the grand worldwide release of 'Rangasthalam' on March 30, Ram Charan is on a roll promoting his ambitious film.

Speaking to the media, he has said that his reference for playing Chitti Babu was watching his father's films and a couple of Rajinikanth films as well.  "Sukumar instructed me to watch dad's older movies such as 'Oorikicchina Maata', 'Mana Oori Pandavulu', 'Aapathbandhavudu', among others.  I did watch a few Rajinikanth movies as well," he says.

This homework explains why the Mega Power Star could find it easy to get into the skin of the character right from the first day of shooting.  "On the very first day of the shoot, everybody clapped as soon as he was done with the first shot.  Charan has shown every emotion in its purest form.

It must be because he is a pure person.  The best performance is that performance after watching which you shouldn't think of any other hero," Sukumar recently said about his hero.
