Shekar Kammula's film Leader has got a U certificate from the Censor Board, on December 17. The film, which might release on the eve of Christmas, reportedly got a standing ovation from the Board members.

Speaking to the media, its actor Rana Daggubati said, Leader is an honest film and represents the aspirations of each and every citizen’s dream for an ideal leader. We thank the censor board for passing the film without any major cuts and I hope the audience will appreciate the earnest attempt made by us.

Also starring are Richa Gangopadhyaya and Priya Anand. The film is touted as a political drama that throws up an ideal leader. The audio released recently has become a decent hit with the classes.

However, the film is for everyone is the filmmakers' view. Director Kammula conceived the film when political activity was at its peak in the run up to the Assembly elections earlier this year. Let's see if the film lives up to its gargantuan expectations.
