Laxmi Manchu who is debuting as an actor in much talked about socio-fantasy film 'Anaganaga Oo Dheerudu' plays the charecter of evil serpent queen Irendri.Wonder if it is to appease snake gods or to offer her prayers to avoid unnecessary trouble, Laxmi is on her visit to Kukke Subramanya temple near Mangalore in Karnataka now.

The temple is situated in Western Ghats which has the highest population of King Cobras in the world. Kukke temple is popular among celebrities who come there to perform the 'Sarpadosha Nivarana' puja. Snake God here is supposed to be very powerful here. Earlier, Sachin Tendulkar, Aishwarya Rai, Shilpa Shetty, Sunil Gavaskar et al performed their puja here.
