Way back in 2014, Raghava Lawrence had announced that he will build a temple for his mother. “It`s been my dream to build a temple for my mother Kanmani while she`s alive. I am in this world because of my mother. I dedicate this temple to all mothers, who have sacrificed their life for their kids,” Lawrence was quoted as saying. Although he had planned to complete the temple before 2016 itself, he couldn't complete it.

On the occasion of this International Mother's Day, Lawrence put out a pic of the statue of his mother that has been sculpted by artisans in Rajasthan. Saying that his intention is to dedicate the temple to all the mothers in the world, the devotee of Sri Raghavendra Swamy wrote, "I want to thank everyone who wished me success in building a temple for my mother."
