The memorable 'Kannanule' from Mani Ratnam-directed 'Bombay' has to be one of the most artistic songs of the 1990s. It is a timeless melody that even the mass audience love so much, thanks to the magic that AR Rahman pulled off effortlessly. Rendered by Chitra, it was a classic.

Lavanya Tripathi has recreated the popular song as a tribute to the immensely talented personalities associated with it. Releasing it, the 'Andala Rakshasi' actress said, 'I learned always to follow your heart. So I followed my heart and performed on this beautiful song which is closest to my heart (sic)."

The 'A1 Express' has been joined by Umang Gupta (who also choreographed it) in dancing in the woods. Aesthetically shot by Nitish Gurung, its lyrics are by late Veturi Sundararama Murthy.
