At a time when everyone needs masks for personal safety, star actress Lavanya Tripathi is doing her bit to ensure their manufacture every day. She and Hyderabad-based designer Anitha Reddy have teamed up for the good cause.
Speaking to Times Of India, Lavanya says that they are using the services of Anitha's staff to bring out home-made face masks. Since the workers have volunteered to work from home while on paid leave, it has been possible for the 'Arjun Suravaram' actress and Anitha to ensure the coordination of the manufacturing process.
At the moment, something like 50 masks per day, made of sustainable cotton, are being made. The production will be scaled up in the coming weeks. They are selling the masks at a minimal cost and the entire revenue will be transferred to the workers. In the near future, the duo will also help manufacture N95 masks.
'A1 Express' and 'Chaavu Kaburu Challaga' are Lavanya's upcoming movies in Telugu. The former is a Sundeep Kishan film casting her in the role of a hockey player. The latter stars 'RX 100' hero Karthikeya'.
