The controversy surrounding actor Raj Tharun and his former girlfriend Lavanya continues to escalate. The situation took a dramatic turn when Lavanya stormed into Prasad Labs, interrupting the promotional event for Raj Tharun's film "Tiragabadara Saami."

Further fueling the fire, Lavanya assaulted RJ Sekhar Basha, a vocal supporter of Raj Tharun, with a slipper during a channel debate. This incident followed Basha accusing Lavanya of supplying drugs to minors. Lavanya subsequently filed a police complaint, alleging that Basha physically assaulted her, causing injuries to her stomach, back, and private parts. She also claims he is threatening her life and throwing stones at her.

In his defense, Basha stated that he was not targeting Lavanya personally but was trying to expose the drug angle of the controversy, which he believed was being overshadowed. He alleged that a woman, who was allegedly a victim of Lavanya's drug activities, planned to attend the TV debate along with her fiancé. Basha claimed this woman and her fiancé previously lived below Raj Tharun and Lavanya's apartments and were close to both.

He stated that he informed the channel of his intention to address the drug allegations against Lavanya, but his efforts were thwarted by the channel's pursuit of TRPs. Basha further claimed that Lavanya became agitated when he presented audio evidence, resulting in a chaotic scene where she and her supporters tried to distract from the issue by shouting and throwing footwear.

Basha maintained that he subsequently went to another channel to expose Lavanya's alleged drug involvement, emphasizing that he was not taking sides but was fighting for himself. He also stated that his past attempts to report women involved in drug abuse to the police were met with indifference and ridicule.

Basha concluded that Lavanya is undeniably at fault, as evidenced by audio clips. He asserted Raj Tharun's innocence and claimed no one could maintain a healthy relationship with Lavanya.
