Comedy is all about timing. Sunil is a top comedian. So naturally, timing must be his forte.

He seems to have timed his plunge as a hero just about right.

As the industry is focusing on action and heavy subjects, as a contrast, his Anadala Ramudu that is a light-hearted lark, has taken off in right earnest.

The film was launched with fanfare yesterday with Chiranjeevi and D Ramanaidu being the guests of honor.

R B Chowdhary, N V Prasad and Paras Jain are making this film under the banner Mega Super good Films, while P Laminarayana is the director.

Sunil’s major jump seems interesting.Equally interesting is the fact that Arti Agarwal has been cast as the heroine.

But Sunil is playing down his elevation. ‘It is just a comical role that runs all through the film,’ he said self-effacingly.

Andala Ramudu is a remake of a Tamil hit, Sundara Purushan. Rambha had played the heroine in that film.

In fact, Sunil went to the extent of saying Arti is the hero of the movie. Arti, for her part, was equally effusive, saying that the role was very challenging.

The film will begin regular shoot from December.
