'Kochadaiiyaan' is Superstar Rajinikanth's magnum opus film which was released in 2014. It was directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth and produced by Media One Entertainment. The film's producer Mural had taken a loan of Rs 10 crore from the Chennai-based ad company Ad Bureau in 2015.
The producer hasn't paid back the amount. Ad Bureau filed a lawsuit against Superstar's wife Latha Rajinikanth as she signed as a guarantor when Media One took the loan. Latha Rajinikanth filed a case seeking to quash the case against her. The trial court quashed the three charges against her.
However, an arrest warrant was issued asking Latha Rajinikanth to appear in person and explain as some sections were pending. Yesterday, it was reported that Latha Rajinikanth appeared in the Bangalore court and was granted bail and the trial of the case was adjourned to January 6th. She met the media and opened up about this case.
Latha Rajinikanth said, "For me, it's a case of humiliation and harassment and exploitation of a popular person. This is the price we pay for being celebrities. So there may not be a big case, but the news becomes very big. There is no fraudulence... I have nothing to do with the money..."
