No Tamil biggies are coming to the OTT this week. But Gautham Karthik starrer 'August 16 1947' is all set to make its digital debut on Amazon Prime Video. Meanwhile, we have plenty of good films and series from other languages foraying into the streaming space.

May first week's OTT releases are:

1) August 16 1947 (Tamil) - Gautham Karthik's intense period drama chronicles the events of the day after India got independence in a fictional village. It releases on May 5 on Amazon Prime Video.

2) Vikram Vedha (Hindi) - This is the official Hindi remake of the Tamil blockbuster gangster saga. It stars Hrithik Roshan and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles and comes to Jio Cinema on May 8.

3) Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar (Hindi) - A vibrant rom-com featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor forays into Netflix on May 3 after its successful theatrical run.

4) Saas, Bahu Aur Flamingo (Hindi) - new Hindi web series, starring Dimple Kapadia, Radhika Madan, Angira Dhar and Isha Talwar in lead roles, streams on May 5 on Disney Plus Hotstar.

5) Corona Papers (Malayalam) - Corona Papers, the recent Malayalam flick by Priyadarshan, is an adaptation of the 2017 Tamil movie 8 Thottakkal. It makes its OTT debut on Disney Plus Hotstar on May 5.

6) Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures (English) - new animated series for kids, streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar from May 5.

7) Fireflies: Parth Aur Jugnu (Hindi) - fantasy drama series premiering on ZEE5 on May 5.

8) Meter (Telugu) - Kiran Abbavaram and Athulya Ravi starrer action-packed comedy drama debuts on Netflix on May 5.

9) Match Fixing (Telugu) - direct OTT film comes to the ETV Win platform on May 5.

10) A Man Called Otto (English) - Tom Hanks starred comedy-drama streams on Netflix on May 6.

11) Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story (English) - a prequel spin-off to the popular Bridgerton series, releases on Netflix on May 4.

12) Geetha Subramanya 3 (Telugu) - comes to Aha on May 5.

13) Love Village (Japanese) - a romance television series streams on Netflix on May 5.

14) Sanctuary (Japanese) - sports drama releasing on Netflix on May 4.

15) Leaked! (Hindi) - teen school drama comes to Amazon Mini TV on May 5.

16) Ed Sheeran: The Sum of It All (English) - documentary series about the quintessential pop star comes to Dinsye Plus Hotstar on May 3.

17) Charles: In His Own Words (English) - a documentary about King Charles coming to Disney Plus Hotstar on May 5.

18) Rennervations (English) - an original four-part series featuring Jeremy Renner is coming to Disney Plus Hotstar on May 3.
