Earlier this year, Chiyaan Vikram was last seen in the blockbuster 'Mahaan' and the versatile actor has a couple of films lined up for release in the second half of this year including Mani Ratnam's dream project 'Ponniyin Selvan 1'. He will be seen as the Chola prince Aditya Karikalan, a pivotal character.

Chiyaan Vikram's look from the magnum opus film was already revealed with the first-look poster in March. Now, the latest is that a couple of BTS pictures of Aditya Karikalan have leaked on the internet and are going viral among the fans on social media. In the leaked picture, Vikram is seen riding a horse bravely in a rugged look surrounded by the soldiers and servants welcoming the prince with trumpets.

Meanwhile, we already updated you that the 'Ponniyin Selvan 1' is said to be launched on July 7th in Thanjavur, the capital of the Chola dynasty as the story revolves around the Chola Kingdom. Reportedly, the audio launch is planned at a foreign location. The preparations for the teaser launch are on, and the team will also be having a world tour to promote the film.

'Ponniyin Selvan' has music by AR Rahman with Ravi Varman handling the visuals. It also stars Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Jayaram, Vikram Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Sarathkumar, Parthiban, Rahman, Prabhu, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Shobitha Duliapala and Ashwin among others.
