We had already updated you that Aandavar Kamal Haasan's long-delayed project, 'Indian 2' with the magnum opus filmmaker Shankar is set to be resumed soon. The makers have sorted out their issues with the director and the film is soon to be revived. Now, we hear a hot buzz regarding the project.

Indian 2 is the sequel to the 1996 blockbuster by the Kamal-Shankar duo. Initially, it had music by Anirudh and stars Priya Bhavani Shankar, Rakul Preet Singh, Kajal Agarwal, Bobby Simha, Siddharth and Samuthirakani. Recently, Indiaglitz broke to you first that Tamannah replaces Kajal Aggarwal in the movie as the latter is pregnant with her first child.

Also, we updated that the team is looking for replacements for the late actors Vivek and Nedumudi Venu, who were also part of the star cast. Tamil cinema's legendary comedian Vivek passed away on 17 April 2021 due to cardiac arrest at the age of 59. He was set to share screen space with Kamal Haasan for the first time in Indian 2 but unfortunately, it didn't happen.

The recent hot buzz is that the talented actor Guru Somasundaram will be replacing late Vivek in his role in Indian 2. Guru, who debuted in Thiagarajan Kumararaja's Aaranya Kaandam, is best known for his films like Karthik Subbaraj's Jigarthanda and Raju Murugan's Joker. He is currently famous for headling Shibu role, the terrific villain in Basil Joseph's superhero film Minnal Murali (2021).
