Veteran playback singer Lata Mangeshkar recently got hospitalized after she tested positive for Covid-19 virus. She was also suffering from pneumonia which made matters worse. In a statement given to The Indian Express, Lata Ji's neice gave an update about her health.

She stated, "Lata taai has tested positive for Covid-19, and considering her age, doctors advised us to admit her in the ICU because she requires constant care. We cannot take a chance. As a family, we want the best for her and we want to ensure that she gets proper medical care."

According to Dr Pratit Samdhani of Breach Candy Hospital, told a news outlet, "Lata Mangeshkar was admitted on Saturday night and yes she is also suffering from pneumonia." As of now, Lata Mangeshkar's fans throughout the country are wishing for her well being and speedy recovery.
