Veteran singer Lata Mangeshkar critical in ICU: Kept under aggressive therapy

Celebrated singer Lata Mangeshkar’s health has deteriorated. She is on a ventilator and doctors are closely observing her health. Dr Pratit Samdani that, “Lata Mangeshkar's health condition has deteriorated again, she is critical. She is on a ventilator. She is still in ICU and will remain under the observation of doctors.”
According to reports, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) Chief Raj Thackeray also rushed to Breach Candy hospital to meet the veteran singer. The veteran singer's health condition had deteriorated again today, following which she was taken to the hospital again. “She is still in ICU and will remain under the observation of doctors," he had said earlier today.
The singer's team has been regularly been sharing her health updates in order to dismiss any rumours. The 92-year-old singer had earlier tested positive for coronavirus with mild symptoms and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Breach Candy Hospital in south Mumbai on January 8, where she is being treated by Dr Pratit Samdani and his team of doctors.The Nightingale of India - Lata Mangeshkar began her illustrious singing career at the tender age of 13 in 1942 and has over 30,000 songs to her credit in several Indian languages. She was also lauded with numerous awards and honours including the Padma Bhushan, the Padma Vibhushan and the Dada Saheb Phalke Award, and multiple National Film Awards. She is also a recipient of the Bharat Ratna, India's highest civilian honour.
