Nightingale of India, Lata Mangeshkar who ruled the music industry with her lovable melody voice died at the age of 92. The Bharat Ratna awardee passed away after suffering a multiple-organ failure on Saturday night at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital.
While many cine celebrities prayed for her soul to rest in peace Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan paid tribute to her by sharing a throwback photo. He also shared a heartfelt note in Tamil and praised her as the queen of melodies.
His tweet read, "Melody queen Lata Mangeshkar has conquered hearts across languages with her music. She has left thousands of songs in the air that evoke emotions in her memories every time we hear them. I am proud to say that she has sung timeless songs in Tamil and Hindi films that I have acted in. Tributes to the Indore musician," she wrote.
Kamal Haasan also shared an old memory when Lata Mangeshkar crooned the famous Tamil song 'Valaiyosai' for his film 'Sathya', In the picture, the legendary singer is spotted along with SP Balasubramaniam, Ilayaraja, and director Suresh Krissna.
