India`s melody queen, Lata Mangeshkar has slammed the section of fans in London who walked out of the A.R. Rahman`s Wembley concert due to twelve Tamil songs that were performed. While many celebrities have condemned the fans who also took to social media to tarnish the concert, veteran Lata has pointed out that she is surprised at the incident.

According to Lata who has been conducting concerts for more than seven decades, she had never witnessed any fan complaining about language as her performances are in several languages including Bengali, Punjabi or Dongri. She has stated that the fans of the older generation in fact loved hearing music in other languages with her only concern is that she should not make a mistake with the pronunciation. Lata`s "Jiya Jale " song composed by A.R. Rahman in Mani Ratnam`s Dil Se` has a Malayalam bit in it which the legend says elevated the song.
