Lasith Malinga, the famous Sri Lankan cricketer, was on Thursday named by an unidentified woman as a predator. Playback singer Chinmayi Sripada has shared the woman's ordeal on her Twitter account.
It happened a few years ago. The woman was looking for her friend in Mumbai. She didn't know the right address. This is when she accidentally bumped into Lasith, who was in Mumbai to play in the IPL. He told the girl that her friend was in his room.
The unsuspecting girl went to the hotel room. This is when the assault happened. "He pushed me in the bed and proceeded to climb onto my face. I couldn't fight him back. I closed my eyes and mouth but he used my face. This is when the hotel staff knocked on the door to replenish the bar. I used this opportunity to quickly run into the washroom, wash my face and leave the place. I was humiliated," the woman says.
