The best screen magician of our times, actor Mohanlal has kick started the functioning of the multicrore 'Magic Planet, the first ever magic theme park in the capital city. The versatile actor who appeared in the characteristic magician's black coat and hat lifted a sleeping girl on thin air, which marked the first performance in the magic planet.

The chief minister of the state Oomen Chandy, opposition leader V S Achuthanandan and other ministers and thousands of magicians were present in the occasion of their favorite star's magical performance.

Magic planet which is helmed by famous magician Gopinath Muthukaad, is set up to help the ailing magician community. The official organizers will spend every rupee of its profit to the development of the art.
