Lal, Shwetha, celluloid in critics awards

'Celluloid' repeats its winning habits in award ceremonies, by winning yet another best film award in the year's Film Critics Awards. The best director award also went to its director Kamal.
While Lal was named the best actor for his performance in 'Ozhimuri', Shwetha Menon got the same for her performance in 'Ithra Maathram'.
Nedumudi Venu was named for a special award for his contribution to Malayalam cinema. The awards were announced by Atlas group Chairman M M Ramachandran and Critics President Thekkinkad Joseph in the press meet organised for the same at the capital city.
Senior stars Jayabharathy, Jerry Amaldev and Poojappura Ravi will be given the Chalachithra Pratheeksha award.The other important awards include the ones for Madhupal(Second Best film -Ozhimuri) , Vineeth (Second Best actor), Mamtha Mohandas (Second best actress)Azhagappan (best cinematographer , Arun kumar Arvind (best editing), Suresh Kollam (Best Art director) M Jayachandran ( best music director) Vayalar Sharath ( Best lyricist ) Ajith K George ( Best sound recordist), and Jayan Cheriyan ( Best debutante director)
Dulqar Salman and Malavika Menon were named the best newcomers of the year, 2012.
