The teaser of Superstar Rajinikanth starrer 'Lal Salaam' has just been unveiled giving fans not only a grand Diwali treat but also promoting much needed communal harmony. The upcoming film is directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth with music by A.R. Rahman and is slated for release worldwide in multiple languages on Pongal 2024.

The 'Lal Salaam' teaser hints that the story is about two cricketer friends Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth belonging to a Hindu and Muslim family who become enemies. Their ultimate showdown happens on the cricket field dubbed as a India vs Pakistan match.

Superstar Rajinikanth plays an extended cameo role as a Muslim godfather who intervenes to bring peace back to the village. The key dialogue that Thalaivar speaks is questioning how the seed of communal disharmony was planted in the minds of children and speaks strongly against mixing religion in sports.
