Directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth and starring Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth, “Lal Salaam” is anticipated to grace theaters next year during the vibrant festival of Pongal. This sports drama, which boasts the special appearance of Superstar Rajinikanth, promises an engaging narrative.

Produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under the esteemed banner Lyca Productions, the film features the musical brilliance of AR Rahman. Adding to the excitement, legendary cricketer Kapil Dev is set to make a cameo appearance, adding further allure to the project.

Recently, Rajinikanth shared a heartwarming Diwali wishes video, extending blessings for prosperity during the festival and hinting at his forthcoming appearance in “Lal Salaam” as Moideen Bhai. The teaser clip offers a sneak peek into what initially appears to be a cricket match but swiftly transforms into a riveting tale of intense gang rivalries amid communal tensions.

The real showstopper emerges with Rajinikanth’s grand entrance as Moideen Bhai, portrayed in an action-packed avatar. Demonstrating his iconic slow-motion style, the actor masterfully handles the on-screen adversaries, setting the stage for an enthralling and action-packed spectacle.

The film is poised to be a sports drama centered around cricket, with reported political relevance. Set for a Pongal 2024 release, “Lal Salaam” gears up to compete with Sivakarthikeyan’s “Ayalaan” and Dhanush’s “Captain Miller” at the box office.

Rajinikanth is currently engrossed in the shooting of his forthcoming film, helmed by Jai Bhim director TJ Gnanavel. Tentatively titled “Thalaivar 170,” the film is rumored to center around the narrative of a retired Muslim police officer, promising a socially relevant and impactful storyline. The ensemble cast is no less impressive, featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Rithika Singh, and Dussara Vijayan.

Additionally, Rajinikanth is set to grace the screens in the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial venture, tentatively named “Thalaivar 171.” The film has been generating considerable buzz, especially concerning its star-studded lineup. Speculations are rife about actors like Raghava Lawrence, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Mammootty being approached for significant roles in this much-anticipated project.

While Vishnu Vishal portrays the character of Thirunavukkarasu, Vikranth’s character identity is yet to be revealed. Notably, this collaboration marks the first partnership between Rajinikanth and his daughter, Aishwarya.
