Actor Salim Kumar's critically acclaimed movie 'Karutha Joothan' (Black Jew) is all set to be released in Kerala. According to the latest update, 'Karutha Joothan' which won the Best Story at the State Film Awards last year will hit the big screens on August 18th. It is Salim himself who shared the news via his social media page.

'Karutha Joothan' is the second directorial venture of the actor after 'Compartment'. Written and directed by Salim Kumar himself, 'Karutha Joothan' revolves around a black Jew and his quest to find his lost identity. Salim Kumar essays the protagonist role Aron Ilyahu in the movie.

Jointly produced by Salim Kumar and Madhavan Chettikkal, the movie also has Ramesh Pisharody and Babu Annoor playing pivotal roles. The film will be brought to the theatres by Lal Jose's own banner LJ Films. The backing of a big banner like LJ Films, is sure to help this promising movie to reach a good number of audiences.

Meanwhile, Lal Jose's next directorial venture Velipadinte Pusthakam, starring Mohanlal in the lead is gearing up for Onam release.
