"The major thing that inspires me in this film is that I am acting with Mohanlal. He is the best among the lot of actors of caliber in India. No other names in India can bring out more naturality and easiness than the way your Mohanlal acts out each and every characters", was the reaction of Amithabh Bachchan when he was asked about his role in the remake of Sholay. "I am doing the role of Gabbar Singh in the film which Amjad Khan had done in the original version. But I am extremely happy and is looking forward to act with Lal, who appear in the role which Sanjeev Kumar had done in the original".

Amitabh Bachchan was in Moonaar shooting for Ram Gopal Verma's project titled 'Nisshabdh'. The remake of Sholay, the biggest project announced in Bollywood, is realized by Ram Gopal Verma with one of the best casts Bollywood has ever seen. The film which is in its final stages of scripting will start rolling in a short while.
