It had been an eighteen years, since Mohanlal's classic hit 'Vietnam Colony' hit the Mollywood movie screens. The movie which is admired as one of the best from the Siddhique- Lal combo, is still one of the most watched movies whenever it is presented on the small screen. Much has happened in the last eighteen years after the movie, one being the separation of the director duo with both Siddhique and Lal emerging as successful independent directors.

Anyhow, the latest news is that Mohanlal has invited Siddhique to do a new movie with him, in the banner of Aashirwad Cinemas. This new project will be the Superstar's Onam release in 2011.

Meanwhile, Siddhique who is busy completing the postproduction of his remake of ‘Bodyguard’ in Tamil with the title 'Kavalan' with Ilaya Thalapathi Vijay, will soon move on for its Bollywood version with Salman Khan as the hero.
