Ram Gopal Varma is determined to make 'Lakshmi's NTR' as a bold, brutally honest film. As is known, P Rakesh Reddy of YSR Congress Party is going to produce the film. "That a YSRCP leader is the film's producer is only a coincidence. YS Jagan has nothing to do with our film," RGV says in a post.

The film will go to the sets from February 2018. RGV is aiming for a grand October release.

Given that NTR's last days are mired in controversy, and Ramu is saying that the "truth" will be told from the perspective of Lakshmi Parvathi, are we to sense politics here? The makers assure that the film won't be political in any way. "I swear that only the truth, as it happened, will be shown in the biopic. Our film transcends politics," Reddy says.

Will the film portray Chandrababu Naidu as the one who backstabbed his uncle, NTR - something that many believe? "You have to watch it in the movie," Reddy, who considers NTR as a great man, says.
