Though ‘Anaganaga O Dheerudu’ proved a disaster, the one who benefited from the film is Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna.

Her character as ‘Airendri’ won critical acclaim. Her performance, walking style and dialogue modulation turned a cynosure for all the critics, because this is her first appearance before the camera, though she was involved in film production and worked for several channels as an anchor and handled several programmes on television.

Soon after the release of the film, Lakshmi got several offers but she was quite choosy in selecting the roles. Meanwhile, she did not forget her past and continued to produce a film ‘Oo Kodathara Ulikkipadatara’ with her brother Manoj as hero.

She is keeping high hopes on this film as her latest film ‘Gunde Jhallumandi’ was a moderate success.

The latest buzz is that a debutant director Kumar narrated a script with the title ‘Gundello Godari’ and Lakshmi was impressed with the storyline and its narration. She gave her nod to do the film.

The film may start rolling in a couple of months. Above all, she is continuing to host shows on the small screen whenever she gets an opportunity.
