Actress Lakshmi Menon, who had started her Kollywood career with movies like Sundara Pandian and Kumki, went on to act in hit movies like Kutty Puli, Pandiyanadu, Komban, Naan Sigappu Manithan, and had played actor Ajith's sister in the superhit Vedhalam.

After being seen last in Tamil in the Jayam Ravi starrer Miruthan released in 2016, the actress had played the female lead in Prabhu Deva starrer Yung Mung Sung which has not yet been released, and now it has been said that Lakshmi Menon is set to make a comeback to Tamil cinema.

As per reports, Lakshmi Menon might be signed to play the female lead in director Muthiah's next movie which will have his Devarattam hero Gautham Karthik in the lead role, and an official announcement can be expected soon. It must be noted that Lakshmi Menon and Gautham Karthik had paired in the movie Sippai which is yet to be released.
