Actress Lakshmi Menon celebrates her 18th birthday today. In a short span of professional career Lakshmi Menon has become the most sought after actress with back to back hit films. Interestingly the actress is still in her teens and is yet to complete her school education.
Lakshmi Menon was born in Kerala and trained herself in Bharatanatyam dance. One of her classical dance performances drew the attention of director Vinayan who opened her the doors of Malayalam film industry with his directorial venture ÂRaghuvinte Swantham Raziya in 2011. In 2012 she acted in another Malayalam film titled ÂIdeal Couple before making her debut in Tamil with Sasikumar in ÂSundarapandianÂ. She was also simultaneously acting in ÂKumki directed by Prabhu Solomon. Both the film released in the same year were declared as super hits and gave a Âluck factor tag to Lakshmi Menon in Tamil film industry and also fetched her the fame of an actress who can perform well. In 2013 she acted in two films ÂKutti Puli in which she was paired up again with Sasikumar and ÂPandiya Naadu with Vishal which was also his maiden production venture. While ÂKutti Puli was a moderate success, ÂPandiya Naadu became a super hit withstanding tough competition from AjithÂs Arrambam.
Lakshmi MenonÂs act of striking gold continues in 2014 as well. She got to share screen space with Vishal in his second production venture ÂNaan Sigappu Manithan directed by Thiru. The film released with enough pre release buzz did not fail to fulfil the expectation of the audience. It is still running in many screens across the state.
Lakshmi MenonÂs upcoming films include ÂJigarthanda with Siddharth, ÂManjapai with Vimal, ÂSippai with Gautham Karthik, and a Malayalam film titled ÂAvatharam all waiting to release in the forthcoming months. Apart from these, the young actress is in talks for a few more interesting offers.
