"No one is you and that's your power (sic)," wrote Lakshmi Manchu in her latest Instagram post. A video, put out on the photo-sharing app, confirms that the TV personality and actress believes in the credo in toto.

The 'Gundello Godari' actress is currently learning Kalaripayattu, the martial art dating back to ancient Kerala. Posting the video, the TV show host, judge and film producer, wrote, "The thrill of learning something new!"

She added that the fighting style was recorded as early as 300 BCE. "It was also mentioned in the Vadakkan Pattukal ballads written about the Chekavar from the Malabar region," the actress noted.

Why is Lakshmi learning the art? She has been doing it for 'Monster', the Mohanlal-starrer. The Malayalam film is her debut outing in Mollywood. 'Guntur Talkies', 'W/O Ram' and 'Maa Vintha Gaadha Vinuma' are her recent films. She was seen in 'Pitta Kathalu', the Netflix anthology, early this year.
